Adam Stapleton, of Phinite, started off as a Software Developer at the school, producing bespoke solutions to Management Information problems the school faced. For the past year the school has commissioned Adam to further develop existing solutions and work on the longer term development of new ones. His strengths are that he has a very good understanding of the strategic aims of the school, how the school will use data and information, practical difficulties some users have in using electronic systems, what data is already available and how that can be leveraged to our advantage.
The utilities he has developed have saved significant sums of money (such as the SMS Messaging system), greatly increased efficiency (such as the Progress system which identified missing marks and facilitates chasing teachers), and helped raise standards (such as the system for carrying out learning walks, communicating areas for development and analysing teacher performance).
